Experience the fascinating world of bees with a guided safari! Together, we’ll look for the queen, see how the bees store their honey, and observe the bustling life inside the hive. You’ll even get to taste honey straight from the honeycomb!
During the summer months, we offer a unique opportunity to visit our apiary and learn more about these incredible insects: honeybees! On this guided tour, we’ll examine larvae, discuss how bees build with wax, and perhaps even spot the queen. We also offer a taste of fresh honey directly from the hive! Did you know that the color of pollen varies depending on which flowers the bees visit? You’ll discover this and much more during your Bee Safari.
During the visit, you’ll get an up-close look at how a bee colony functions and learn about their vital role in our ecosystem. We provide all necessary protective clothing and welcome groups of up to 10 people. The tour lasts approximately 1–1.5 hours and provides a deeper understanding of the bees' lives and hard work. If the weather prevents us from opening the outdoor hives, we offer an alternative experience with an indoor observation hive.
We recommend wearing light-colored, full-coverage clothing and sturdy shoes. We also ask that guests avoid eating bananas, consuming alcohol, or wearing strong perfume before the visit, as these scents can affect the bees' temperament. The Bee Safari is an educational and inspiring experience for both adults and children, offering a unique glimpse into the buzzing world of beekeeping.
The activity welcomes groups of 4 to 10 people and can be conducted in either Swedish or English as needed. Please note that the environment is unfortunately not wheelchair accessible and is therefore not suitable for those with reduced mobility.
A minimum of 4 participants is required for the tour to take place. In case the group size are too small you will be contacted and refunded or rebooked to antoher date.
